About Me
I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the SARDINE lab at Instituto Superior Técnico, under the supervision of André Martins. I have also spent some time doing research at Centrale Supelec, where I was advised by Pierre Colombo, and was a research intern at Unbabel and Feedzai.
I’m interested in topics related to multilinguality, reasoning, and efficiency, and my research mostly revolves around the intersection of these areas with large language models (LLMs). Recently, I’ve become particularly interested in developing general-purpose LLMs, going from the pre-training to the post-training phases. I also have a strong affinity with machine translation, having worked on adapting LLMs for translation tasks and evaluating translation quality.
